With just over a week before the City Hall rally to demand the completion of Bushwick Inlet Park, residents and parks activists are ramping up efforts to ensure a major community turnout.

Around 200 people have already registered for the March 12 rally, according to Friends of Bushwick Inlet Park, the body organizing the event.

“We are working really hard to keep that number going up,” said Jens Rasmussen, a representative for the group. “There are a lot of people in the community that have no idea that this park is close to being stolen from them. We will continue to ramp up our media coverage and actions, and hope to get higher participation as a result.”…
